Description
Precast concrete panels can typically range in height from 8 to 50 feet, and the maximum length varies based on the location of the precasting facility and the construction site.
Precast concrete is exactly what it sounds like – concrete that's poured and shaped in a factory or plant before it ever reaches your construction site. Once it's cured, it's transported to the site, ready for installation.
Because precast concrete is more easily controlled, the quality and durability is typically much better than cast-in-place concrete. A precast manufacturer is also more likely to receive greater discounts on materials due to the volume of purchases that can be made for multiple projects at a time.
The Precast Installation Labourer works with a team to perform tasks involved in the installation of precast concrete. This includes hollowcore panels, wall panels, beams, columns, bleachers and balconies. Position requires travel to and from job sites where long hours are involved.
